Stairlift control module
Stairlift sales are literally on the rise due to the ageing of our current society. Even though the body no longer wants it, the eye wants something. Hence the first step was to sit down with a designer to design a control module to match the modern design of the chair.
This customer involved VDL Kunststoffen in the development process of the control module for an advanced version of the successful curved chairlift Flow. The focus here was on robustness, reliability and a competitive cost price. As the products are vision products, it is of great importance that it looks good.
With the help of Mold Flow Study, VDL Plastics selected the best spray position for minimal risk of flow lines. What is also important is that all products must be exactly the same colour. By working with a compound specifically formulated for this application, VDL Kunststoffen can guarantee this. The products must also fit neatly together. By working with steel additives in the mould, everything is perfectly matched for a beautiful cosmetic result.
The close cooperation with this customer resulted in a distinctive and enthusiastically received product.
